Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Pittsburgh with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Pennsylvania may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 AM–10 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (412) 441-7960. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is wholefoodsmarket.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 2,394 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded specialty food stores in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I rarely give such a review, but I want to bring up a safety issue. Beware not all WF stores are the same! I love WF and we came here for a quick lunch break. I grabbed sushi, spring rolls and my family members had some of the hot bar items. The sushi was fresh (but NO best by date!) The spring roll rice paper was literally hard, I took one bite and started looking for the best by date also, and did not find one either. The hot food situation was more challenging the kale and sweet potato must’ve been heated so often that also could not be eaten unless you hadn’t eaten in a month. I called customer service and they referred me back to the desk. Matthew was a Godsend! They took it back no questions asked, but the story doesn’t end there. I tried to order the oysters that were flown in today and was told they have to sell the ones on the counter first. Problematic. They sold us this kind in the past and 1/2 of them were dead. We ate lunch and since not many of them sold to get to the new batch, Matthew came to the rescue again. I was able to get the fresh oysters. The plot twist: Right as we got home and ready to have the oysters for dinner, I started to have the worst food pois

Disability nightmare -- one corner entrance is completely blocked off to prevent shoplifters easy access, so one has to use long raml to the cafe that is busy and loud because entrance is blasted by AC upon entrance and it is right next to the two bathrooms next to the cafe, so if someone in a wheelchair is coming that way the door doesn't automatically open and you risk running into people in a rush to use the facilities to your immediate left in a narrow corridor. Most of the checkouts are not staffed, usually only 1 in the weekday afternoons, no more than 2, so there are very long lines if you're not using self-checkout. The previous WF was much more accessible and convenient for those with walking limitations and wheelchairs, and was much more staffed.

I don't "get" Whole Foods. selection seems limited with no common brands of anything available. I'm not sure who shops there but the place is busy. after seeing the above, The employees were very pleasant and extremely helpful. They actually seemed happy with their job. The Amazon return station was just fantaßtic. Going into a Whole foods and interacting with the staff was a great experience. I don't think I'd shop there. I don't really know who would. Again, Happy and helpful employees. They seem to enjoy their job made my whole experience so much good..

I shop at Whole Foods weekly. It is 40 minutes away from my home. Usually, the service is top notch. Last Sunday I was in the store around 9:30 am and they were completely out of fruit cups/bowls. No issues...I typically asked someone in the dept for assistance and they always accommodate. This time a gentleman came out with an $18.00 pineapple bowl (the Pineapple was white which mean not sweet) and I was told when I come in next time and don't see any cut fruit they will not be able to accommodate me. Guess it's time to try The Fresh Market or Trader Joe's.
